It’s Dirty Work, but someone’s gotta do it. Keith and Ron (who share writer credits with Mick) are the amazing rhythm aces on this track, while some guy named Jimmy Page provides lead guitar services. Why doesn’t Jimmy appear in the video? Probably too busy sitting at home reading the writings of Aleister Crowley. The band never toured to support the album. Keith and Mick were feuding, and Charlie and Ron needed time to detox, while “Bill just retreated to the south of France, only to pop up on The Benny Hill Show every now and again.”

80RP can’t forget the Motor City. Another classic Martha & the Vandellas song. Martha was asked at the time (‘64) if the song promoted black rioting. “My Lord, it was a party song,” she said. Bowie proves he can cut a rug just as well as Mick does in his Reeboks. The song and video were made for LiveAid—in only 13 hours!

We love the music of the 80's. The good, the bad, and the downright ugly. It's all here.
Any band or artist that recorded during the 1980's is welcomed here. But we reserve the right to include pioneers from the 70's and the hearty few that made it into the early 90's as well. So please, no quibbling about release dates.
So stay awhile and flip through our collection.
